Tips for Glowing Skin On Your Special Day!

Updated: Aug 30, 2020

Every bride wants that beautiful glow on their wedding day. However this requires work and is not going to happen overnight. For me being a woman that has rosacea as well as bouts of breakouts these steps have been magical. Follow these steps at least 6 months before your wedding to ensure best results.

Below are just a few of the brides I have had the pleasure of doing hair & makeup on. Aren't they gorgeous? And they all had such a beautiful glow on their special day!

Glowy Skin Tips:

  1. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. I know you have probably heard this before, but hydration is key to healthy glowing skin.

  2. Limit sweets and junk food from your diet. You want to feed your body with healthy, nutritious foods. Try and drink a cup of green tea every day to detox your body and get rid of toxins.

  3. Wash and moisturize your face every day and night. Be sure to use a gentle face wash that doesn’t foam (foaming face washes can be harsh on the skin.

  4. Exfoliate your skin once a week to get rid of any dead skin cells and build up.

  5. Where you can, try to use natural skincare products on your face. Your skin doesn’t need harsh chemicals. Less is more here. Look into natural oils for your skin type.

  6. Lastly, don’t try any new products at least 3 weeks before your wedding. If you get a reaction from a certain product, it could take weeks for your skin to recover.

I hope you enjoyed reading my tips to clear and glowing skin on your wedding day. Of course this won’t work for everyone especially if there is something seriously wrong with your skin. If you do try these tips out and find your skin still presenting breakouts etc, I do suggest visiting a dermatologist and looking into certain foods you are eating as you might have an intolerance.

Good luck with your skincare journey! Do you have any tips for skincare? What has worked for you? Comment below.

Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist and these are mere tips that have helped me through my journey.
